A Tag with Character

I found this fun looking tag on Julia's blog. It looks really really fun. We shall see if it is, shall we not?

The rules are to name 12 literary characters and then answer the questions. Here goes!
First my list of 12 characters:

Now to answer the questions!



1. Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11?
Hmm... Sam or Mary. Probably Sam. He knows more.

2. 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed?
Betsy sends Gilbert. Uh, maybe a mission to find a way to make her hair stay curly? He gets a curling iron. :)


3. What is, or what would be, 9’s favorite book?
Mandie? The Bible, most likely.

4. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6 or the other way around?
Sam to Mary Poppins, or Mary to Sam? Probably the first way. He's kind of that sort of guy.
 

5. Number 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he room with 9 or 10?
Definitely Meg with Mandie. I don't think Meg would enjoy sharing with Count Olaf.
 

6. 2, 7, and 12 are going out to dinner. Where are they going, and what do they discuss?
Mary Poppins, Elsie Dinsmore, and Betsy. They probably go to a fancy restaurant. After all, Elsie is rich. I don't know what they talk about. Maybe theology and uh... looking pretty?



7. 3 challenges 10 to a duel. Who wins?
Count Olaf and Desperaux. I would hope that Desperaux would win, but Count Olaf is bigger. So he'd probably win.
 

8. If 1 stole 8’s most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
Gilbert could probably just ask Laura for it. Unless it was something she really wanted. Then she'd shut the door in his face and he would have to resort to stealing it back.

9. Suggest a story title in which 7 and 12 both attain what they want.
Betsy and Elsie. How about, "Inward Beauty" or some such name.


10. What kind of plot device would you have to use to get 1 and 4 to work together?
Pip and Laura. Well. I really don't know. First Pip would have to have a boat to sail to America, then he would knock on her door and ask very politely.


11. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would it go?
Elsie Dinsmore. I've always wanted to meet her! We would probably spend the weekend sewing and talking.
 

12.  If you could command 3 to perform any service or task for you, what would it be? 
I would send him to fetch me some soup from the cook.

13. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 or 5, what side would s/he choose?
Mary Poppins choosing between Pip and Meg. She'd choose Meg. They both come from sort of magic-y tales, so they would most likely like each other.
 

14. What might 10 shout out while charging into battle?
Count Olaf. Maybe he shout, "I will get your fortune!" :)


15. If you had to choose a song to best describe 8, what would it be?
Gilbert. Probably some song about loving never failing or something.



16. 1, 6, and 12 are having a dim sum at a Chinese Restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left , and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets it?
Laura, Betsy, Sam. I should hope that Sam would be gentlemanly enough to let the ladies have. I think that Laura and Betsy would split it.



17. What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Meg. Uh... maybe fighting... for her brother?



18. What is 6’s secret?
Sam. That he wanted to steal the Ring for himself?


19. If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Mandie and Mary. I don't know, they're both pretty fast. Probably Mary, because she's more determined.

20. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, who would you be more comfortable walking with, 7 or 8? 
Elsie or Gilbert. Gilbert, because he's stronger. 


21. 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them,but it is later discovered that s/he is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fiction? 
Laura and Mandie team up to save the world from Pip's secret organization (funny, he never struck me as that sort of person). Mary volunteers to help, but is discovered that she is a spy for Pip. Meanwhile, Pip has kidnapped Betsy (poor Betsy) in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of Meg, they seek out Desperaux, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. 
It could be called, "The Wisdom of a Mouse".




That was really fun! I liked it a lot! Now, I'm not going to tag anyone, but anyone who wants to take it can. I recommend it.

1. Favorite Sport: I'm not sure... I like informal basketball. If you don't know how to play basketball, come play with me. But you'll probably still win. :)
2. A Good Name for a Dog: I don't know, I guess it would depend on the dog. A good name for our dog would be something like Fleabag or Bonerack. :)
3. Favorite Animal: I like dogs. Or horses. Or bees. Or hairless cats. You know, the usual.

1. If you had to pick one favorite genre, what would it be?
I like country/bluegrass. It has a nice beat. :)

2. What is your all-time favorite song? (This may be hard, but try your best to pick only one!)
 Oh! So, so hard! Hmm... I love all the Peasall sisters' songs.(they are a country/bluegrass group) I also like the song Indescribable.♥




3. What's the best concert you ever went to and why?
I've never been to a concert. :O The closest thing I've been to was the Rebelution Conference. It had some pretty loud music.




4. In your opinion, who are the 5 best singers in the world? (In no particular order.)
Well, I don't listen to that much music. So I'm not sure.




5. What's your favorite song that you've heard a million times, but you still can't get enough of?
Hmm... I like a lot of hymns. But there's a lot of songs I've heard that I can't get enough of. :)

 Uh... like I said, I don't listen to much music. :( So I'm really not sure.

So, I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately. I could say that I was busy (which is true). But that's an old excuse, don't you think? I had a good Valentine's Day. :) I didn't get any flowers or even any valentines. But I didn't mind at all. :) Did you get any?


Today it was a balmy 60 degrees -- it really was balmy, especially for this time of year! It was so pretty out. :)

We've been taking lots of science classes, mostly Biology or genetics. It's been pretty fun, although I seriously doubt I'll be a scientist. :D

1. If you could only use 1 color to paint your whole house with, which would you pick? I would pick.... white! It would get a bit boring, though.

2. If you were a plant of any kind which would you be, and why? I'd be a pansy, because I like them. :D

1. If you had one day to do anything in the world, what would you do? I don't know. If it could be an extra long day, I think I would travel all around the world. But if it was just one day, I would... work on a farm for one day. That sounds amazingly fun.

2. If you got kidnapped by an evil scientist who wanted to test his newest formula on you, and you got to choose the color of the formula, which would change your color to the color of the formula, what color would you choose? Hmm... I think I would choose blue or green. It'd be fun to be green. :D

3.  If you had to choose one word to say in every sentence you say for the rest of your life, what word would you choose? I would choose the word "uh". That's a word, right?

4. If there was one song you wish you would have written, which one is it and why? I wish I could have written "Our God is an Awesome God" because it's so nice. Although the word awesome is much overused in today's culture.

5. Which would you choose, never be able to use capital letters again or never use punctuation marks again? AHHHHH! I could never do that!

6. You are going to the moon, and you can only bring one thing and one person. Who and what? Well, it would have to be someone you got along well with... I would bring one of my sisters. And for the what, I would bring a gigantic box of books. But that's only if food was already included.

7.  If there was one animal on the earth you could own. what would it be and what would you name it? A dog. I think I would want either a basset hound or a dachshund. Or maybe a Scottish terrier or an Irish setter or a Golden retriever or a... anyway, I'm not sure what I'd name it.

8. There is a secret box in your closet. What's in it? A very secret thing. :D Just kidding. I don't know, I don't have many secrets.

1.What's your least favorite food in the world? Oooh... this is hard! Hmm... maybe... brussel sprouts?

I will usually read or maybe practice piano.

Here is a poem I wrote when I was about six.


I Saw a Yellow Dog


I saw a yellow Dog
one day Floating
on a raft and another dog on it.
becuse they did see me
the cat did see me. so i
just left. A tree spred its
leaves becuse its leaves
were dry and i lookd at the
yellow dog the dog lookd
at me We loved each
other. becuse we liked
the look of each other.
