Some Thoughts

For one thing, (please forgive me, this may sound crazy) I can't wait until I get my braces!!! I hope that I will be able to pick rubber band colors. If I can, I will probably pick pink and red (Because of Valentine's Day) , or just pink. Pink is my favorite color. :)

I also have a few ideas about valentines this year. Which do you like better, making them yourself or buying them?

A few nights ago, we watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a very well made movie. Although some of the songs were not catchy (actually, some of them were kind of weird), most of them were nice. It was a good plot, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone under 12.

My dad e-mailed this cool link to our shared e-mail address. It is about what $1 trillion dollars look like. Click here for the link.

What has been on your mind this week?

Have a good week,

Abby

Braces!

Well, I am actually getting braces! First, it looked like I was not going to have to. I think the thing I am dreading the most is not the pain, it is having them put on. Since both of my sisters have braces, they can provide me with a most accurate (probably) account of what it is like. I still can't wait! It is so exciting for me. I will try to keep you posted. :)

Here is a cool idea. I got it from A Life of Faith.

An Old Fashioned Ball ( By Beth Ann W.)
You will need:
Fancy or old fashioned dresses
Stockings
Old fashioned shoes or high heels
Ballroom dancing music
Dancing cards (you can make these by writing your name on an index card)
Refreshments (optional)
Invite your friends over and get all dressed up. Get your brothers or fathers to be your dancing partners, or dance with each other! Don't forget to have great posture and manners and to put on airs. Dance for a while, and then serve the refreshments, such as tea, punch, cookies, or biscuits. Then dance again until you're all worn out. Have fun!

A Dog Post

Probably not many know this, but I love dogs!!! I got a book for my birthday last year and it is very informative. You can see it here.
Among my favorite dogs are:
  • Pug
  • Beagle
  • Basset Hound
Here is a book that made me smile: 97 ways to make a dog smile, by Jenny Langbehn. I found it at the thrift store today. Here are a few from the book:

24. Dry off a damp dog with a towel fresh from the dryer. A warm rubdown is toasty good fun!
46. Pet your pup against the grain.
50. While your dog is asleep, attempt to sneak a treat under his pillow without disturbing him. Dogs love to wake up to a surprise!
79. Grasp your dog's muzzle and quickly pull your cupped hand away, making a popping noise with your mouth. Many dogs get very excited by this game.

This is not exactly a dog quote, but close.

Dogs have masters, cats have staff.

Sorry, I don't have any more quotes.

Fact: Baby pugs are called puglets. Cute!!

Hope you enjoyed this post!
