Wordless Wednesday-- well actually...

I think I'm very cute. I look just like a real turtle, don't I?
Hey everyone! This is a post about me. I'm a turtle. Abby made me out of clay and paint.
When Abby told that she was going to take picture of me to put on her blog,
I immediately said yes, because I thought,

{linking up with Mina's challenge} some of you might not know how handsome turtles are.

Well, I've gotta go home now. Bye!

Hey everyone! Abby here this time. This is my latest project. It was slightly inspired by Breezy's beautiful turtle, though it's not quite as cute or colorful or nicely made.Whatcha think?

Oh yeah, and just in case some of you didn't quite catch it, I'm linking one of those photos to Mina's photo challenge. Go enter, quick! It ends March 11th.

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

ps. sorry for the weird type up there. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get it to be good. So annoying.

People are healthy and green

{don't forget about my giveaway!}

I interviewed my little brothers just for my special readers. I don't know if you'll think (as much as I did) that the answers were funny. They're so cute!

What do mommies do?
Sam: Mommies cook food... and they... feed babies and wash dishes.
Joe: Cook food and take care of babies. And put movies on for children.

What do daddies do?
Sam: Daddies watch Youtube with little boys and eat dessert and exercise and drink milk and eat pancakes. And they work at work.
Joe: Daddies exercise and they... work at work. They... I don't know.

What do sisters do?
Sam: They take care of babies... and they do... and they do.. and they put on TV for boys.
Joe: They don't do anything.

Why did God make people?
Sam: Because then there would be no jobs that would be done.
Joe: Um, I don't know.

What bad thing did Adam and Eve do?
Sam: Ate the fruit.
Joe: Ate the fruit.

Why was it bad?
Sam: Because they were going to die.
Joe: Because... it wasn't fruit to eat.

Why is sin bad?
Sam:You're not supposed to do something that God doesn't tell you you're not supposed to do.
Joe. Because it's broken.

Why did Jesus die on the cross?
Sam: Because He didn't want us to die.
Joe: Um, I don't know.

Where does the food at the grocery store come from?
Sam: From a factory. It goes through pipes and goes to the store.
Joe: It comes from... the factory. In a machine. And goes to... the grocery store.

Why do people need to eat?
Sam: To get healthy and don't die.
Joe: Because... to get healthy and green. People get healthy and green.

What is your favorite dinner?
Sam: Coffee.
Joe: Spaghetti.

What about dessert?
Sam: Marshmallows. Just marshmallows.
Joe: Chocolate chips and -- no, people chow.

What is the yummiest thing to eat?
Sam: Pancakes.
Joe: Pancakes.

What is the most fun thing to do?
Sam: Play outside.
Joe: Playing ball.

What's your favorite game?
Joe: Cars.
Sam: Me too.

Hope you enjoyed!

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

300 posts? Feels more like 300 years (plus Shelley's contest)

Wow. This is my three hundredth post. Hard to believe, ain't it? I am sitting here writing this, pretending to listen to Phantom of the Opera music (as the computer I am sitting at has no speakers). It seems like such a short time since I got this blog. Yet so much of my life has gone into blogging. This year I'll be sixteen (sixteen!) and I feel so incompetent and inadequate, not ready for anything God hands me. But... I will be when the time comes. He doesn't hand me anything that I can't handle, for which I am so grateful. :)

Shelley is having a photo contest to celebrate her 100 followers. The theme is love. And boy, do I love these little guys! They're so delicious!

{entering this one}

Yummy. Such a lovely color too!

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

ps. i'm working on a prize for my 300th giveaway. So watch out for it. :)

pps. sorry for the big space. I don't know how it happened and I can't fix it. :P

Guilty pleasure. And a pleasure it is indeed.

This is a delicious recipe, and really easy too. I had decided to make peanut butter cups, but my mother suggested that I make this instead, and I can't say that I'm disappointed.

In fact, I had decided to save it for dinner...

But an exceedingly greedy person took a piece, just to see how it tasted. (bet you can't guess who...)

Here's the recipe.

Peanut Butter Candy
 Peanut butter 'dough':
1 cup peanut butter
1 and 1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup brown sugar

Mix the peanut butter and the powdered sugar well in a mixing bowl. Add butter, vanilla and brown sugar. Beat until smooth. Press into square dish. Refrigerate while making frosting.

Frosting:
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tsp. water
1 tbsp. butter

Melt chocolate chips, water, and butter. (I used a double boiler) Stir until smooth and spread over 'dough'. Refrigerate until firm, then cut into squares. Enjoy!

See? Easy, right? Guess you'll never know till you try! Have a great week, and let me know if you try it. :)

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

ps. Today's the Super Bowl, as everyone probably knows. Should be a good game. Who are you rooting for?

IndoctriNATION and Agenda

All I have to say about these movies is: Wow. These are so well done, and extremely hard hitting. Very, very convicting, too.
Indoctrination was a bit more 'fun' than Agenda. It talked more about the school system, how it started, how it kept up, and what it's doing to our nation's children. I am more certain now (if it was ever a question) that my kids will not be going to public school.

Colin Gunn and his family took a field trip around part of the US. They interviewed people like Doug Phillips, John Gatto, and  Ken Ham, and also teachers, parents and kids in the school system. I liked this movie very much, it was really enlightening and convincing. Good job, Mr. Gunn!

Then there was Agenda. This one was really hard hitting, and kind of scary. It talked about the growing Communist agenda in the US.

I really liked this one too. It made a lot of points about the agenda of the Communists (like Karl Marx) and how their agenda is growing in the US. It was rather scary but real interesting. People are starting to accept this agenda, and that's the sort of thing that leads to dictators and armies.

I highly recommend both of these movies. You should watch them and own them. You won't be disappointed!

Abby :D
