1.The rain. It's been raining all day. Everything is wet and soggy. And I love it. :)
2. Writing. I've gotten stuck at a certain point in my novel (if you can call it that) and I'm going to have to do a complete re-write. I need to give my characters more definition, methinks.
3. Reading. We've been reading a lot of classics in school. Like Jane Eyre, Treasure Island, and Oliver Twist.
4. Party. We went to a birthday party on Friday, ate cake and ice-cream and pizza, and played games: Capture-the-Flag (♥), Ghost in the Graveyard, and Killer. Those last two are sort of grisly names for such fun games.
5. Recital. Piano recital is next week. I'm doing The Swan (or Le Cygne, I believe is its name), All I Ask Of You, which is a song from Phantom of the Opera, and Irish Air, a duet with my sister. I might be doing El Risoluto, as well.
6. Bible reading. Last night, it was Philemon and 1 Peter. What have you been reading?
7. Hats. I really like redecorating them and wearing them, even though I don't do it often.
8. This blogger. I wish my writing was like hers.
And with that, I bid you adieu. Adieu!
Hopeful of a better blog post next time,
Abby :D

How do you play "Ghost in a Graveyard" and "Killer"? Never heard of them before.
Capture the Flag is a ton of fun...especially when it's played outside in the dark, with lots of friends!
:)
Bethany~ Ghost in the Graveyard: This is usually played outdoors at night. One person is the ghost. They hide while the others count. When they are done counting, the other people spread out and look for the ghost. The ghost either lets himself be found, or pops out. When the others find the ghost, they have to run to the tree before the ghost catches them. (also, when the ghost comes out, they can scream if they want. It's fun.)
Killer: First, you need pieces of paper, a piece for each player. Let's say you have five players. Four of the pieces should be blank, but one should have K on it, for killer. Whoever gets that is the killer. Turn out all the lights, then spread out around the house. The killer kills people by tagging them. Once someone has been killed, they can be 'resurrected' by the other players who aren't dead. Once the killer has tagged everyone, they win.
I hope that makes sense. :D

Now that I think about it, I think I've played "Killer" before, but it was slightly different.
Everyone sits in a circle.
Put pieces of paper in the basket with all blank except for one which has a K on it for the killer.
Everyone takes a piece of paper without letting others know. Look around the room at everyone else, but beware!
If someone blinks at you, you know that they are the killer, but you can't say and you have to look down because they "killed" you.
The killer(s) wins when they have killed everyone else, without any other player having figured out who they were.
Does that make sense? Have about 30 people, and it's a ton of fun!
Have you ever played "4 men on a couch"? That's SO much fun too!

One more thing...do you ever do Bible memory? Or your sister? if so, I have something for you!!!
I am totally the same, I've been doing everything but blogging too! Good luck with your novel re-write! :)
Bethany~ Oh, yes! I've played that version before too. There are a lot of versions, I guess. And yes, our family does Bible memory. I'm sort of thinking of doing the Bible Bee.
Shelley~ Thanks! Oh yeah, and congrats on your Europe trip. That must have been super fun!
OH, ABBY! I'M SO EXCITED!!! I really, really hope you do the Bible Bee...you all would enjoy it so much! Would Leah do it as well?
Also, I would really encourage you to check out this site for Bible memory. Last year, during the Bible Bee, I used it and it helped SO much! You can tell Leah about it also, I think you would be enjoy it :) There is nothing bad about the website whatsoever, just a large group of people (a lot of them Bible Bee contestants) excited about memorizing the Bible! Here's the link -- http://www.memverse.com/?referrer=bethjoy
If you do decide to do the Bible Bee, let me know -- I'd really enjoy hearing. Also, if you have any questions about it, I'd be more than thrilled to answer any and all! You can just leave me a blog comment, if you like.
If you can't tell, I'm really excited for you all! You'll enjoy it SOOOO much...you will never regret it.
So excited,
Bethany :P
Oh, if you have several questions about the Bible Bee, you can e-mail me at
bethany@pentimone.com
If that is easier for you, than comments, go right ahead! I'm so excited to hear when people want to the BB!!! :)
Thanks Bethany! I probably won't do it till next year, cause we're pretty busy this year, but if I have any questions, I will definitely ask you. Thanks!
