All right, you asked for it (literally)

Remember this post? Well, I finally took you up on your advice. I'm doing an outfit post.

I blurred out just my face, because I have taken a solemn oath to never again show my face on this blog :), but I also wanted y'all to see my headband. Because it "goes" with the outfit.
Anyway, in the spirit of these outfit posts, I will now proceed to tell you where it all came from.

Shirt(s): The top shirt is from Belk, the t-shirt underneath it is from Target
Skirt: Where else? The thrift store :)
Headband: I think from our cousin.
Earrings: Our grandma brought them back from vacation. They're hearts, in case you can't tell.
Shoes: I actually had these on when I was born. :) Just kidding. I wear bare feet most of the time.

So how'd you like my first outfit post? I hope you enjoyed.

What did you wear today?

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

PS. Click here for an adorable giveaway! She is giving away a darling hat and scarf.

Pretty, eh?

{Some of our beautiful mint}

{Peach tree leaves}

~Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
                              Romans 13:14~

There sure has been some pretty greenery now that Spring is here! Nice flowers, too. It's been pretty rain-y and thunder-y over here, though. Today we went to see our cousin's play, Oliver!. They did a really good job on it. :)

What did you do today?

Horrifying, isn't it?

I found this on Johanna's blog, and it horrified me. This sign, that is on car bumper stickers, billboards, TV, and even our clothing! is not a Christian symbol. In fact it is the opposite. Read on for her post (her words are in italics).

Today, as I was reading a new post on one of my favorite blogs From the Inside Out, I found something out -- something that sickened my soul. I pray that you will now take the time to read what I discovered --

Almost everywhere I go, I see this sign~

More often then not, we see it attached to the word "love"~

But I had no idea, that the peace sign itself was a sign of Satanism -- anything but related to love.

I have never, ever been 'into' the peace sign. I can't really say why, part of it was because I didn't like the attitude that always went with it. But I thank the Lord that I have never worn it before, because today, I found that behind the peace sign, there was something much more sickening, and terrible then a bad attitude.

"Known as the 'peace sign' throughout the 1960's and into the present day, this symbol is the Teutonic rune of death. 1950's peace advocate Gerald Holtom may have been commissioned by communist sympathiser Bertrand Russell to design a symbol to unite leftist peace marchers in 1958. It is clear that either Holtom or Russell deemed the Teutonic (Neronic) cross as the appropriate symbol for their cause.

"Throughout the last 2,000 years this symbol has designated hatred of Christians. Nero, who despised Christians, crucified the Apostle Peter on a cross head downward. This hideous event resembled the Teutonic cross and became a popular pagan insignia of the day. Thereafter, this sign became known as the 'Neronic cross.'
"The symbol's origin in history proves it to be the visual mystic character for 'Aum' (the split 'Y'). This is the sacred word to the Hindu. Chanting 'Aum' is supposed to help awaken 'the serpent power of Brahma' at the base of the human spine. Occultist Albert Pike also identifies this symbol as mystical in his book on Freemasonry Morals and Dogma.
The peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.''

The above I read from this website. I want to say though, I did not read the entirety of the article, since I saw that it was getting more in depth then I really wanted to even ponder. So, if you visit the above link, beware, as I am not sure if the article contains more truths that wouldn't be necessary to dwell upon. But from the little I did read, I was thoroughly sickened.

Just look around you, this sign is EVERYWHERE you go! Think about that for a moment.... the sign of the "Antichrist" everywhere we go-- on posters, on clothing, on jewelry, car decals, etc. It is almost like a campaign for the Antichrist....
Before, I was so sick of everywhere I went, seeing the this symbol. It always reminded me of a hippie.... now, it turns my stomach because I now know who it really stands for.....

I feel a greater depth of sadness when I see Christians wearing it.
Up until now, I thought the sign was just a thing of my generation, the trend. But now, to see my brothers and sisters in Christ wearing it, not even knowing what symbol they are wearing.... it breaks my heart. I don't believe most people know the true meaning of the peace sign, and that is why everyone is OK with it. But they need to know.... They need to know that the supposed "peace" symbol is a cross with broken arms.

That is why I am writing this post. I pray that your eyes may be opened to the horrible meaning behind the "Peace" sign, and that you will have the strength to stop supporting it...

This sign is the devil's work. It is full of everything evil. I, too, will pray that this abominable corruption will be stopped. (not to mention the skull. More on that later)

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

A Bubble-y Day

Today was a beautiful day, though a bit chilly. So I decided I wanted to take a picture of a bubble, just a bubble, in the sky. :) Sounds purty, don't it? After lots of blowing, popping bubbles, cold arms, and several screaming fits disappointments, I enlisted the help of my sister and came out with these.

Here is the original, no editing.

And this is the edited one.

Which one do you like better?

By the way, my sister is having trouble with Blogger. She can't get it to upload any more photos. Anyone have the same problem? If so, what'd you do about it? Thanks.

Grace be with you,

Abby :D

Green (a photo contest)

Lauren is having a photo contest. The theme is green. :) These are some peach blossoms, and the leaves on the tree complement them perfectly, don't they? God's creation is marvelous!

I'm a complain-y person...

There are some things in the blog world I just cannot stand. *pushes glasses up on nose and looks around the room* That is why I have compiled, after extensive research, a list of my blogging dislikes. (By the way, I've seen this on several blogs and do not mean to copy. I just love to see others dislikes so that I may hereafter make my blog more appealing)

My Blogging Dislikes ~a highly researched list~
  1. Why postttttt?I hate hate hate it when someone writes a post like this: "Hiiiiiiii everyone just thought id say hi i dont haveeeeeee much to sayyyyyyyyy byeeeeeeeee!" For one thing, the extra letters make the post seem sort of stressed. And another thing is, why post if you don't have anything to say?
  2. Cluttered blog. When you have 450+ blog buttons on your sidebar, it makes things, well, a little distracting. Also, I'd go with a simple design, or at least one that matches your theme. If you have a writing blog, I wouldn't choose a design with pink and purple chihuahuas
  3. Annoying comments. Who hasn't gotten a comment like this: "Please come check out my blog at so-and-so. I'm trying to get 50 followers by December!" Very annoying.
  4. Text talk. i dnt know about u, but i thnk ths is prtty aggrvting. LOL (of course, you might have noticed I'm not against the smiley face)
  5. Bad spelling + punctuation. Use spell check.
So ends the list of my dislikes. I'm sorry I'm so complain-y, but I thought u mght b intrstd. :)

What are your dislikes?

The Insignificant Blogger

I have the worst time convincing myself that blogging is not about numbers. It's not about getting the most followers or the best blog design. It's not about being the number 1 most popular blogger of all time. It's about having your own place to talk about what you've been doing, your thoughts, and what it's like being you. Of course, comments and followers are great. They help you believe that someone likes you, your blog, and your thoughts. But that's not what it should be about. The only thing that matters is that God loves you. You could have no followers, or comments, and no one that likes you on this Earth, but if you have God's approval, everything else melts away.

On a different note, my aunt is getting married on Friday! :) I'm excited, weddings are always fun. Could you pray for God's blessings on them? Thanks!

Abby :D

My Favorite Places To Sing ~a list~

    1. The shower
    2. While vacuuming

    6. When I'm happy
What are your favorite places to sing?
